As the Prime Minister wishes the Cabinet to decide on Reading’s telegram [A3/15/1–3], Montagu may not be able to reply in time for tomorrow’s deputation; he therefore suggests adjourning the deputation till Thursday. Is urging that Reading should be allowed to do what he judges best.
