Has WW heard the 'sundry bickerings' in London about whether the BAAS is to meet in Edinburgh or Ipswich in 1851: 'If they prefer Ipswich it would be bad manners in us to criticise their taste. But Sabine [Edward Sabine] has not behaved well and there has been a split in the council'.
