Transcript

2 Bankfield Lane, Southport.
30 June 1936.

Dear Dr. McKerrow,

I didn’t post Act II of 3 Henry VI yesterday as I intended when I wrote (it rained too hard to make the prospect of getting to the post pleasant!) and am sending Act III along with it today. The only thing that has worried me in the last part is the collation of speaker’s† names. These seem gradually to have been petering out and I think that if you collate them as fully as you did in 1 Henry VI there are a fair number of notes that will have to go in. Otherwise, I didn’t find much wrong with this act.

Yours sincerely,
Alice Walker.
