Scope and content

Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Has been waiting anxiously for Elizabeth's letter: the illness is slight, but 'quarantine & disinfecting' cause much trouble; thinks [Julian] must be safe now. Wonders if Elizabeth is making plans to visit; would very much like to see Julian too. The 'College & children [?]' are coming for ten days at the beginning of April, so it would be 'too much to have a nursery as well'. Thinks Mary is coming for a while on the 15th with Humphy, whom Julian might like to see; Annie will visit some time in the last half of April. Her arm is getting better slowly [after shingles] but she is often 'very much depressed', and it is 'horrid' for Sir George, who is good and kind but 'so worried & anxious'. A postscript notes that she 'did not understand the aeroplane, but made out a good deal'.
