Scope and content

W[est] H[ackhurst], Monday. - Is very sorry that Bessie's news is not better; hopes 'the treatment, and the change to London' does her good. Hopes to see her in London, and to come to the Shiffolds to see her and Bob when she returns. Is 'very busy, and not in the best of spirits', but fortunately keeping in good health. Will not 'get away until the end of October' as he has so much to do. This is a brief note returning the Tovey [Donald Tovey's book about the Beethoven sonatas, see TRER/ADD/20?] and another book lent him by Bob.
