W[est] H[ackhurst]. - Has been for a week in the Lakes. Invites Trevelyan to tea; cannot suggest lunch as 'our domestic staff has become so weak'. Hopes Bessie is well and the 'household manageable. How tired one gets of houses!' His time in a hotel in Patterdale was very pleasant. He also lectured in Glasgow.
