White Slea Lodge | Hickling | Norwich
Dear Miss Stanley
Alas I am engaged right up to the opening of Parliament but I’ll propose myself after that if I may.
Thank you for asking me, I should so like to come before— oh well before the flood. As regards Archerfield I loved it. I was not asked ever to do anything and I just mooned about with my very pregnant thoughts. I’m contemplating all sorts of things and have heaps to think of!
The Prime was more perfect than ever; Elizabeth condescending; Cys the best of all men and Mrs Asquith I enjoyed muchly. She tells me Violet’s faults and I tell her the P.M.’s virtues and we get on well. I dont think I like Sredgar
