Crumpsall Hall. - John Milnes was to have called on him but was advised to stay at the Mosley Arms Hotel in Manchester when he became ill; he subsequently called at two in the morning claiming to have been led there by Divine Providence; encloses details [no longer present] of his unstable condition on returning to Manchester; saw him there when he seemed better and explained his delusion; stated that he had been summoned back to London; Laws arranged money and escort for the purpose; John Milnes' agent Mr Rundall regrets the calamity which has overtaken him. Advises Richard Milnes not to renew invitation for a while.
