Is 'very well and happy' and hopes his family all are too. 'Archie and Hugo have been flog[g]ed for general mis-behavier [sic]'. There was blackberry jam for tea yesterday. Has got 'eighteen fox caterpillars' and is not going to get any more. Is not going to 'show up' his butterflies, as he 'can not name them' and has 'no chance', but will 'go on collecting'. Sends love to all.
