Scope and content

They began football yesterday, but Robert had a cold so did not play; there should have been a paper chase but it rained in the morning so the ground was wet. He, Sackville West and Whitelaw were the only boys to get their football caps at the end of last term, so the captain had to be one of them, and Whitelaw was 'elected'. Does not remember reading Myths of Hellas before, though expects he has; has now finished it. Leveson and Lawrence 'got remove at Eton', and Bramwell u[p]per fourth; Melly got 'into the bottom class of the modern side of Clifton', and Smith was '2nd in the entrance exam'. Is 'getting on well, and so is G[eorge].
