C.A [Clifford Allen] is recovering, but very slowly. Bessie is still in the Netherlands; expects she will return next week. Wishes Julian good luck for his exams: tells him to remember [the names of the seven ancient branches of the Nile] which 'one can always get... into any exam, except sometimes comic sections',
