Letter from Richard Gough presenting the milestone, dated May 1799, accompanied by an engraving depicting the milestone, and a fair copy of an explanation of the milestone, possibly originally an exhibit label. The milestone dates from Emperor Florian's reign and was found in 1785 in Water Newton, in the parish of Chesterton.
