Scope and content
Palace Hotel, Rome. - Encloses a card for Julian 'to save damage in the Post'. Charles and Mary leave today, having much enjoyed themselves; Caroline got great pleasure from the little she could see of them. She is recovering slowly but the illness [bronchitis] is still not gone; describes plans for returning home via Paris, when she is well enough, which will spare her early starts. Love and Christmas wishes from them both.
