Scope and content
Wallington, Cambo, Morpeth. - Last Wednesday, when 'already rather weak and helpless', he received a bad cut or tear to the back of his left hand. Doctor Goodall says it will not heal for at least a month. Has written to Aunt Anna, who will show Elizabeth the letter, but will be 'disabled for ordinary letter-writing' and everyday life for a long while, though hopes to be recovered by the time she and Julian visit.
