Biographical history

Archival history

These items may have been among those sold at Sotheby’s on 9 July 1968 on behalf of Robert E. Symons, A. E. Housman’s literary executor, who presumably obtained them from Housman’s brother and sister. They formerly belonged to Cyril Hunt (1919-1999), whose daughter Christine Walters presented them to the Housman Society, who in turn presented them to Trinity in October 2022.
