Note by J[ohn] Lee on inside front cover records that the volume was 'Presented by Captain W. H. Smyth to the Hartwell Library [Lee's home]' in 1834. Bookplates of Smyth and Lee pasted below. Below these, a note signed 'R. F. Scott' [Sir Robert Forsyth Scott?] records that the manuscript was purchased at the sale of the Hartwell Library at Sotheby's in Nov. 1888.
