Assembled in preparation of his book The Development and Meaning of Eddington's 'Fundamental Theory' (Cambridge University Press, 1957).

Three notebooks with paper wrappers, one bound with pasteboard covers. Three notebooks marked Collation 1-3 contain section headings of the MSS followed by summarised text of Chapters I-XI, dated Dec. 1849 - Sept. 1950. Further notes and collations at the end of the third notebook are dated to Sept. 1954. A fourth notebook contains the chronology and summaries and is dated July 1950.
