These items were all formerly in the possession of William Craig Henderson, who served as Lord Kelvin’s private secretary for two years before he was called to the Bar. 1-6, which bear the handwriting of six famous scientists, were probably given by Kelvin to Henderson as keepsakes; 7-8 were directed to Henderson himself. The papers were presented to Trinity, via the Cavendish Laboratory, by Henderson’s children, Mrs S. Rogers and Mr Kenneth Henderson, on 22 October 2003.
