RJ does not think WW's presence is necessary regarding his private business [see RJ to WW, 1 Aug. 1850]: 'If you choose to authorise me to instruct Fuller I think I can answer for its being completed soon but then I will not guarantee you against the expense of a journey of his to the north to inspect the documents. They must be inspected carefully by whoever draws the power'.
