Continues A2/15/4. A Special Bench of the Bombay High Court has adjourned the no-tices issued to certain barristers and pleaders of Ahmedabad for signing the satyagraha pledge. The Chief Justice said that, while the Court had nothing to do with the political opinions of re-spondents, the pledge of civil disobedience appeared to go further than the mere expression of opinion as to the merits of a Bill, and emphasised that advocates ‘cannot serve two masters’. But he merely issued a warning for the present, noting that satyagraha sabha has been quies-cent since April. The other two judges, Heaton and Kaji, concurred.
