Writes as the representative of the Japanese student translators [from the Imperial University Hall] of the Methods of Ethics. Thanks Sidgwick for his permission to translate his work. Reports that the translation was completed the previous month. Explains that the study of Western Ethics in Japan is not yet well developed, and that no standard text on the subject has yet been translated. Expresses the hope that their translation will help to promote the study of ethics in Japan.
