Scope and content

Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Hopes Elizabeth's cold is nearly gone. Christmas day was 'depressing' as it rained throughout but she hopes to get a good walk this morning. Expects Elizabeth will soon be settled and know when she will go to London. A postscript is written after seeing 'the news of George's honor [sic: from the Italian government?] & the article in the D. News', which is 'very delightful'. It was a 'wonderful feat'; George had told them all about it, but 'did not want much said'.
