Scope and content

Wallington, Cambo, Northumberland. - Good to think that Elizabeth will nearly be settled at home again; Booa [Mary Prestwich] had been telling her about Elizabeth's worries, so she was glad to get her letter this morning and hopes the anxieties are unfounded. Writing in a hurry as she has had to write letters about servants' characters and have long talks with Booa; glad to get her back but it has been a comfort knowing she was with Elizabeth. Sends love to Miss Martin. A postscript with a reminder that the game must be eaten soon.
