Chinthurst Hill, Guildford. - Is very sorry that things have fallen through: it is 'perhaps more difficult for [Tovey] to steer [his] course' than Trevelyan might imagine, but he will try not to inconvenience him again. Plans to visit tomorrow. Has a new violin sonata which is original in several ways. As soon as he knows when he will be in Germany for the Darmstadt Kameramusikfest he will make a plan for the next holidays.
