Headed notepaper for West Hackhurst, Abinger Hammer, Dorking. - The mystery is solved: his aunt, Mrs Alfred [?] has discovered that Agnes is leaving them to go to Shere and 'nurse a slight acquaintance who comes out of a Home on April 9th. Thirty days notice for this, after living with us thirty years'. Wondered what '"cook (single handed)" means' in their advertisement 'one hand, or in no need of assistance'.
