Scope and content

West Hackhurst, Abinger Hammer, Dorking. - Thanks Bessie for her cards, and ‘the delightful tins’ which he will enjoy. Is much better: his temperature is ‘back to normal’, but he feels ‘very limp’ and is not allowed out of bed. Will ask his mother to send her a postcard every few days unless he worsens, in which case ‘the intervals shall decrease’. Is however sure he is through the flu [?]. Thinks ‘very highly of Stent as a doctor and the nurse is charming’. Hopes to write more in his own hand in a few days. Very glad she is done with her ‘tiresome outing’.
