Scope and content

Trin[ity] Coll[ege] Camb[ridge]. - Glad Bob is a 'fool' [presumably an allusion to a comment by Bob on his engagement], as he himself 'believe[s] in that folly very heartily'; glad that there is only the 'due percentage of calculation' in the decision, but sure that as far as it goes the calculation is good, by his 'strong recollection of a lamp-light evening with a lady of intellect and character apparently far above the average'. First good news of any substance he has had for some time.
