The Master's Lodge, Trinity College, Cambridge. - Thanks Bob for "From the Shiffolds", which he has been 'reading with joy', both the 'old friends' and the new poems. Bob's 'mind and attitude to life and imaginings have a calming and strengthening effect' on him which no other modern poet does. Is much more 'rude donatus' [Latin: endowed with a cane; discharged from service] than Bob in terms of writing, despite being younger. Looking forwards to the Grove [their house at Harrow] dinner. Sends love to Bessie.
