Portée et contenu
47 Greenbank Road, Birkenhead. - Thanks Trevelyan for the criticism of his own book of poetry [“Interludes and Poems”, 1908], though he defends his use of metre, explaining his thoughts on stress in blank verse with examples; he accepts Trevelyan’s charge of obscurity as just. Is considering a play set in modern times [“Deborah”?]. Detailed praise of Trevelyan’s play “Parsival” [“The Birth of Parsifal”, 1905]. Is interested in what Trevelyan says about Fulke Greville’s plays, which he has never read properly and is not sure how to get hold of. Is grateful for the invitation to stay with Trevelyan, though he does not know when he is likely to be in the South.
