Scope and content

[on mourning notepaper]:- Is 'getting on better in the matter of extra work', as he has had to be 'let off' some work, as 'several other monitors' will probably also be; is still 'pretty hard up for time'. Georgie came eighteenth, but Robert thinks he has been trying. Is also getting on 'better with the acting, though not well'. He and Georgie saw the tailor yesterday; the coat will be 'made in plenty of time'.

Is making more runs at cricket, and likes it better; the school is doing very well, and 'made 300 runs for 6 wickets against Bessborough's team', though this was perhaps not a strong one. Will be very glad to see his parents next Saturday; they will be more at the Grove [his house] than they were last time. Not much to day; sees the government are 'getting on badly'.
