Mr Arnold 'has been sentenced to 3 days' imprisonment in bed by the doctor' due to having a bad cough and cold. Is 'so sorry to hear about C[harles]', and hopes he will be better soon; sends love to Mama. About five boys have been ill today. Asks if his mother can sent him enough 'wash leather to do for about 3 pieces for [his] spectacles.
