Originally enclosing a few stamps, 'of no special value' except maybe the new German ones. Will not write a long letter, as Julian will soon be home; reminds him to bring the Latin grammar and 'a Latin reading book of some kind' if he can get on. A newspaper cutting from the "Manchester Guardian" was also originally enclosed.
