Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Thanks Elizabeth for sending the keys [see 11/170] so promptly. Likes to think of Julian being 'so happy, and intellectually active over his elementary studies'. Wishes Elizabeth could have come to visit, but travelling now is a 'waste of time'. His convalescence is very pleasant; hopes that he and Caroline will be quite strong when they come to London.
