Welcombe, Stratford on Avon. - Hopes they are all getting through 'contagion, and... household separation'. Caroline has been very ill and is much weaker than he would like; now time for them all to 'repay her for her endless care'; glad she does not need to travel, but wishes the weather would improve. The letters from Robert and Elizabeth, and Julian's 'dear little hieroglyphics' are much comfort to her.
