TRANSCRIPT:
Penrhôs, Holyhead
Aug 21st 1916
My darling its cold and beastly to-day and so far (2.30) I havent stirred from the ribbon work, not even to go near the prawns, but in a short time Owen & I are going to walk to the lighthouse or rather part of the way where we are all going to have tea. I shant bathe I am sure. I miss you horribly, it would have been quite perfect if you could have stayed for at least a week, even tho’ it wd have been a unique experience for you to be in the country so long with prawns your only sport I still think we should have had quite fun.
Blanche and her brood have just arrived.
Are you very stiff to-day after all your exercise, I am just a little I’m ashamed to say.
Darling I’ll write tomorrow.
Bless you
Venetia
