Hotel Palmes, Palermo; addressed to Bob at Hotel Timeo, Taormina. - Is very happy here: went up Monte Pellegrino this morning, and saw Etna, so he and Bob 'have something in common to see together, besides the stars'; has seen the Palace Chapel [Cappella Palatina]; will visit Monte Reale tomorrow. Plans to meet Bob on the evening of 19 February at the Casa Politi [in Syracuse] unless he hears otherwise. Enjoyed the view of Mylae [Milazzo] and Tyndaris bay [Tindari] from the train 'immensely'.
