Scope and content
Wallington, Cambo, Northumberland. - They have settled down quietly; Sir George is busy 'reading classics & French History, & newspapers'; he hopes to fish today as there was heavy rain yesterday. Eager to hear Elizabeth and Robert's plans; hopes they can 'settle on the Leith Hill Site'. George is also looking for a house and having difficulties. Asks her to tell Robert she has read Sabatier, and thinks it 'beautiful French prose, & in a way interesting'.
