Sorry Bob has had to pay charges on his letters. Publication of his book ["England in the Age of Wycliffe"] has been delayed. The by-election is "great fun and going very well"; Charles is an "excellent" candidate: 'it is his real metier"; George feels an enthusiasm for his policy and general attitude to politics which he 'had ceased to feel for the Newcastle programme Liberalism'.
