Thanks for Weever and Greene. I cannot solve any of the cruxes but it strikes me that Red-headed Taurus points to Bull the hangman, mentioned by Harvey etc. {1} Perhaps this wa[s] {2} so obvious as not to receive a note. The cornered π on p. 43 {3} is also obviously Pye-Corner. May Extramnemers {4} be Extramineuers? (Or Extaverners!)

Typed, except the ‘π’, the brackets, the signature, and the postscript. Postmarked at Cardiff at 2 p.m. on 26 September 1911. Formerly inserted in McKerrow’s copy of his own edition of Weever’s Epigrammes (1911) (Adv. c. 25. 81), which contains some handwritten notes by him derived from this postcard (see below).

{2} The letter missed the edge of the card.

{3} ‘corner’d π’ in the printed text. In his own copy of the book McKerrow has underlined this phrase and written ‘? Pye Corner’ in the margin.

{5} The postscript is written by the word ‘Extramineuers’, to which it evidently relates.
